We are already halfway through the third nine weeks of school! Can you believe it? 3rd nine weeks progress reports will be sent home with students on Wednesday, February 13.
Also please note that there is NO school for students on Monday, February 18 or Tuesday, February 19.

www.brainpop.com/Brain Pop is a website that FCMS uses that has lots of informative videos on various topics across all content-areas. There are also games and quizzes that go along with each topic. Students are highly encouraged to use Brain Pop at home as well to review any material that they are learning about in their classes.
FCMS will host its annual Veterans Day program and reception on Wednesday, November 14 at 1:00 pm in the gym. 6th graders are asked to wear RED that day. If a student has a family member who is an active military member or a military veteran, you are invited to attend the program! Please contact the front office for more details at 706-632-6100.
Permission slips for the upcoming Stars & Strikes field trip on December 14 were sent home on Monday, October 22. Money and permission slips are due to your child's 1st period teacher NO LATER THAN Wednesday, December 5, 2018. The cost is $30.00 per student. Checks may be made payable to FCMS.
Mrs. Hulsey and Mrs. Fleeman are pleased to announce the winners for the first nine weeks Reading Counts points contest! As part of 6th grade reading curriculum, students are required to read books as part of the Reading Counts program. They will be allowed to check out books from the library and take tests online to assess their comprehension of the book they chose. Each book has a different point value based on its lexile score. The typical range for middle school is 955-1155.
