Monday, January 21- No school in honor or Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Tuesday, January 22- Today students completed a 20 question poetry review (daily grade) on Google. Afterward, students began working on a 5 haiku project (alone or with a partner) for a test grade.
Wednesday, January 23- Students who have their agenda and have brought back their signed (green) Chromebook agreement, will receive their Chromebook during 1st period. We reviewed the rules for using the Chromebook in reading class. Afterward, students completed their haiku poem and those who wish to present theirs to the class will do so.
Thursday, January 24- Students will write their tsunami haiku and acrostic poems that will be featured in the reading section of their STEM book. Afterward, they will read the NEWSELA article "The Story of Tsunamis" and take the quiz.
Friday, January 25- We will review poetry elements using popular songs. Afterward, students will finish up any missing work and read for Reading Counts and take tests if needed. Points are due by Friday, March 8, 2019.
Hi! I'm Mrs. Kelly Hulsey. I am a graduate of FCHS. I received a Bachelor of Arts in English from KSU in 2006 and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of North Georgia in 2013.
