Students started a new unit on government and economic systems of Latin America. Today, we completed an Anticipation Guide (#1) to review government systems and started Comparing Latin American Governments (#2).
Students were given a study guide for Friday's test over the history of Latin America.
Welcome back students and Happy New Year! It's hard to believe we have completed half of the school year already!
Today, we completed a graphic organizer, a crossword puzzle, and questions over Latin America's poverty, drug problem, and the debate on immigration. This packet is #5 in the Latin America History Notebook. We will be having a TEST next week over Latin America's history so be on the lookout for a study guide soon!
Friday will be a review day for students required to take exams. Friday is also a regular school day and attendance will be taken this day. Attached is a copy of the exam schedule for all grades.
Students went to the computer lab to complete a web quest. Instructions are in Google Classroom. Students who didn't complete web quest need to finish for homework.
Students started a new notebook entitled: Latin America "History" Notebook. Today, we discussed the Columbian Exchange and the impact it had on the Americas and Europe.
Students completed a test over the geography, culture, and environmental issues of Latin America them worked on their travel brochure (Google Classroom) which is due today.
My name is Cindy Wood and this is my 30th year of teaching Social Studies. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism. I went on to receive a Master's degree in education and also have a Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. I have been married to my college sweetheart for over 36 years.
