Students completed a graphic organizer over selected physical features of Europe. Students will have a MAP QUIZ this Thursday over Europe's physical and political features. Please encourage your child to study for this map quiz!!!
Today, students turned in their first notebook which contained: Continents, Five Themes, Latitude & Longitude notes, and Thematic map packet. This will count as a TEST grade. (It is their responsibility to keep up with any worksheets, graphic organizers, and notes because they will be counted as a test grade.) Students also labeled physical and political features of Europe (#1 in their "new" notebook labeled: Europe Geography). Students will have a MAP QUIZ over Europe's physical and political features on Thursday, Aug. 25th!
Students started a rough draft on their "Create a Country" project. They will work on the final draft and turn in tomorrow. Below are the requirements for their country and the rubric.
Students completed a graphic organizer over basic economic and government terms. Students need to keep this in their notebook and study the definitions.
Students reviewed and completed a packet on latitude and longitude. If they did not complete packet in class today, they are supposed to finish it for homework.
Students learned the Five Themes of Geography via power point presentation. There will be a quiz on Continents and Oceans of the world and the 5 Themes. They need to study #1 and #2 handout in their notebook.

I went on to receive a Master's degree in education and also have a Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. I have been married to my college sweetheart for over 35 years.
